Character 1

As a child Tim Burton spent most of his time as a recluse, watching movies and drawing cartoons, in ninth grade, he was recognised from his artistic talent, by a local garbage company. Tim burton then won a prize for an amazing anti-litter poster he designed. Tim Burton is a producer, a screenwriter and mostly known as a Director from the film called, "Edward Scissorhands".

An Auteur is a Director that makes films that are similar to each other and so the audience can tell who Directs the movie. It has influenced film criticism since 1954, this was when it was advocated by film  directors. This Auteur Theory method that is film analysis, was originally associated with the french new wave.

Tim Burton is as known as an Auteur, because movies such as, Batman (1989), Edward Scissorhands (1990) and Sleepy Hollow (1999) are "dark, horror and gothic". This shows that he is an auteur because since Tim Burton made all these films and you can tell they are similar to the other films he has made, it makes an Auteur Director.
